Dreamer

A free-thinking creative who dislikes conflict, the Dreamer prefers to create art, not war. Imaginative, introverted, and independent, they flourish when they’re allowed to generate their own unique ideas behind the scenes. Admit it: when you were little, you wanted to be Bob Ross when you grew up. As a free-spirited creative, you prefer to do your own thing and keep to yourself. Team brainstorming sessions likely drive you nuts – you’re apt to spend the time coming up with solutions in your own mind rather than talking them out with the team. You’re also very perceptive, and constantly observing your surroundings and analyzing others. A true introvert, you need time to recharge after interacting with people. You’re kind of like a Tootsie Pop – it takes some time to crack your exterior, but those who do will discover a caring, warm-hearted and interesting soul.
HOW THIS ARCHETYPES WORKS WITH OTHERS

Advocate

Smooth sailing

While it's not a total match made in 9-5 heaven, the Dreamer and the Advocate share a love of empathy, tolerance and general being nice-ness. On the flip side, these two have different levels of creative and intellectual curiosity and the Advocate is quite laid-back where the Dreamer is a bit more emotion-driven. The Dreamer and the Advocate may enjoy each other's company, but will have very different approaches to work.

Caretaker

Smooth sailing

While the Dreamer and Caretaker share many similarities and will understand each other quite well, there's no real spark here. With a few differences in creativity and sociability, don't expect these two to become happy hour BFFs. Nonetheless, the Dreamer and Caretaker will respect each other and have a fine working relationship.

Dreamer

Cloudy with a chance of conflict

While Dreamers are naturally empathetic and dislike conflict, they also have an artistic temperament. When this temperament kicks in, the Dreamer can become a bit high-strung and sensitive, meaning that there's a potential for emotions to run high if these two disagree.

Go-Getter

Sunshine and roses

The Dreamer and Go-Getter will work well together! Throw these two in a room and the creative juices will flow faster than coffee from the office kitchen. In fact, we're betting the Dreamer will play producer on the Go-Getter's first rap single. These two understand each other well enough - like introverted and outgoing sides of the same coin.

Humanitarian

Sunshine and roses

These two thrive on peace, love and happiness (with a side of comfort food). While the Dreamer may be a little more feeling and creative than the stoic Humanitarian, these two have a very similar outlook on work and life and will work together quite well. So well, in fact, that we may even find them attending peace rallies together on the weekend.

Idealist

Smooth sailing

These two laid back, peace-loving personality types are alike in many regards, the only difference being that the Idealist is more intellectually curious and a little less emotional than the sensitive Dreamer. Likely to respect and understand each other, they work well together. Peace, love and TPS reports, man.

Inventor

Smooth sailing

Although the Dreamer and Inventor appear to be quite different, these two will actually understand each other better than either is willing to admit thanks to their shared creativity and introversion. That being said, these two think quite differently, with the Dreamer typically being more right-brained, and the Inventor typically being more left-brained. Put those two together and what have you got? A whole lot of smarts.

Mastermind

Cloudy with a chance of conflict

Ruh-roh - this pairing spells trouble! Differing hugely in almost every way, the Mastermind and Dreamer are unlikely to enjoy working together. When the stoic Mastermind goes head-to-head with the emotionally-driven Dreamer, frustration and mutual misunderstanding is the name of the game - and nobody's a winner here!

Maverick

Partly cloudly

While the Dreamer and Maverick are both creative and curious at heart, the Maverick is more self-motivated, whereas the Dreamer will likely sacrifice to ensure everyone is treated fairly. Because of this difference, these two are unlikely to get along socially, but they have the potential to become a dynamic duo on projects that require creative problem-solving.

Protector

Smooth sailing

These two personality types will get along pretty well, as they both enjoy creative thinking. The Protector's peace-loving ways will mesh quite well with the Dreamer's sensitivity. On the flip side, both are quite independent when it comes to the creative process, meaning that they might struggle if working closely together on a project.

Rock

Cloudy with a chance of conflict

While the Dreamer likes to "go with the flow" and think outside the box, the Rock lives for method, strategy and good old-fashioned planning. In other words, we might find the Rock creating a strategy, and the Dreamer scrapping the plans to do it his or her own way. Not only that, but the Rock is highly stable, whereas the Dreamer is a bit more feeling. If working closely together, these two might butt heads.

Socialite

Partly cloudly

Not unlike the high school prom queen and the art department "geek" trying to relate, the Dreamer and Socialite are likely to clash. Although these two are creative in their own rite, the Dreamer is more empathic and egalitarian, and the Socialite is more sociable. With a shared emotional sensitivity, this is not the greatest pairing!

Straight Shooter

Cloudy with a chance of conflict

Opposites don't always attract, and the Dreamer and Straight Shooter are proof! Utterly opposed on almost everything from work style to pizza toppings, the Straight Shooter and Dreamer have only one thing in common: a surprisingly similar level of social confidence. These two are unlikely to play well together.

Strategist

Cloudy with a chance of conflict

Dreamer versus Strategist - need we say more? Where the Dreamer appreciates imagination and feelings, the Strategist favors calculated logic and stability. Although similar in their independent nature, the Dreamer and Strategist are a mismatched pair, likely to rub each other the wrong way.

Technician

Partly cloudly

While not totally at odds, the Dreamer's creative and independent outlook conflicts with the Technician's practical, collaborative approach. Additionally, the Technician is highly stable, whereas the Dreamer is much more feeling. That being said, if these two were to join forces on a project, we'd bet they'd be able to create a beautiful and functional masterpiece... as long as they're able to work through their differences.

Visionary

Partly cloudly

While climbing the corporate ladder, the Visionary strives to make it to the top as quickly as possible, whereas the Dreamer likes to stop and smell all of the pretty flowers along the way. These two will likely respect each other's creativity and ideas, but the Visionary and Dreamer are likely to clash on ethical principles. While mutual respect is possible, warm and fuzzy friendship is unlikely!
